Arena Events

As a result of reading an article about the experiences of one family and the objectives of   Managing Director, David Walley of Arena Events contacted   to see if there was any way in which they could support the Charity.

Initially this was achieved by offering tickets to an Executive day out at the Grand National. These tickets were offered through the Banbury Guardian on a highest bidder takes all basis. But after meetings in August 2001, it was agreed to take a different approach.

With their numerous contacts in the entertainment, business and sporting world it was decided that Arena could support a wide range of events such as Charity Dinners, Charity Balls, Corporate Dinners etc. by providing a suitable merchandise for auction and where appropriate could even supply a sporting/business style guest speaker. In return for providing 'added value' to the event, thanks to Arena, the organisers would agree to the proceeds from the Auction going to  

The first event to take up this format is a charity dinner & auction in support of Banbury United Football Club. In addition to a number of events on the evening there will be a auction in support of   In the lots for sale that evening there will be tickets for Silverstone F1, Tickets to the Wimbledon Tennis Championships plus tickets to various major golfing competitions also a variety of sporting equipment and signed memorabilia such as a signed football from Michael Owen. Other events being planned include a Charity Golf Day in September 2001 and a Charity Summer Ball to be planned for 2003.

Shaun Start Financial Services

Shaun Start has decided to support   having been made aware of the very important work of the charity by a very good friend, and current committee member, who tragically lost a son to a brain tumour.

Shaun Start Financial Planning (SSFP) have offered to support   by donating a percentage of his commission taken from business taken with families and friends of   (up to approx. 25% depending on the policy type). This is a fantastic offer, which is fully supported by Charitable Funds and could raise significant sums of money for
